Work


Freelance Grant Writer (2017 - present)
  • Write and consult on grant proposals for nonprofit organizations and projects/artists (total yield of $436,875).
  • Work with the Resonance Collective, Urban Voices Project, Aquilon Music Festival, Renegade Opera, and independent artist projects.
  • Experience with grant applications from: NEA, New Music USA, MAP Fund, Aaron Copland Fund for Music, Amphion Foundation, the LA County Department of Arts and Culture, and more.

Grants Coordinator
, Urban Voices Project (July 2023 - April 2024)
  • Write narrative for grant proposals and letters of inquiry (total yield of $337,755 to date). 
  • Manage the grants calendar and all applications through the grant cycle: stewardship, preparation, submission, and reporting. 
  • Develop narrative for grant applications, private foundations, corporate sponsorship, and internal processes.
  • Conduct prospect research for grant, private foundation, and corporate giving opportunities.
  • Develop the company’s organizational system for prospect research and application tracking.
  • Served as UVP’s Development Associate from September 2021 to July 2023. Promoted to Grants Coordinator in July 2023. 

Co-Founder, Renegade Opera (January 2020)
  • Roles: Development Director + Creative Producer (January 2020 - January 2024)
  • Wrote narrative for grant proposals and letters of inquiry (total yield of $48,510). 
  • Created the Grants Projection/Calendar from seasons 2020-2024 and researched new funding opportunities.
  • Managed all grant proposals through the application process and stewarded relationships with program officers. 
  • Co-produced and executed fundraising campaigns and galas.
  • Created season programming, project budgets, and artist contracts; cultivated relationships with potential collaborators and partners.
  • Wrote press releases for all projects, conducted outreach to press contacts, and worked with community partners in cross-promotion.
